This Website will be aimed at teaching improved balance through Tai Chi and other Awareness exercises.
Tai Chi focuses on Slow, Relaxed and Balanced movement and can help those with balance problems to improve their balance both physically and mentally.
For those without balance problems, tai Chi will help to give the practioner greater balance which allow them to use gravity to gain whole body movement without creating tension.
Tai Chi will also add to the awareness of body posture and cultivate mental focus.
I teach Thursdays at the Channahon township.
I am a certified teacher through Sifu Fong Ha of Berkely California who began his studies of Yang-style Taijiquan in 1953 with Tung Ying-chieh, and continued with Yang Sau-chung, the eldest son of Yang Cheng-fu. Sifu Fong also studied Yiquan with Han Xingyuan. Sifu Fong Ha runs the Integral Ch’uan Institute which teaches classes in Berkeley and conducts seminars worldwide.
I also teach a Tai Chi class for those over 40 at Channahon Township … … the class meets on Thursdays from 10am to 11am and a $2 donation is accepted per class.
